AM vs PM
Even when I was a little girl, I was an early bird. There are many things to do in a day. I have found that starting my day early is what works best. I have also found that I do better when I accomplish my necessary tasks in the morning. Due to my religion, I spend twenty-thirty minutes of each day reading from the scriptures. Many people that I know read and such right before bed. While that works for them, I've tried both times of day, and found my preffered time to read. Why is it that I find it best to read in the mornings rather than at night. Why am I a morning person?
When I go to bed at night, I always think of all of the things that I want to accomplish the next day. When I actually think of each task that I need to accomplish, it often seems like I won't have enough time to finish in one day. This often leads me to wake up early and get started first thing in the morning. I know that if I put off doing the things that I really need to do, it's very likely that I won't get them done. The only way to guarantee that I'll get my scripture-reading done is to get it done first thing in the morning.
Not only is it the way to guarantee my accomplishing of it, but it is also a way to get it done while my house is still quiet. I'm about the only one in my house that's up before seven-thirty. I'm more able to concentrate and think about what I'm doing.
It's more quiet at six in the morning, and I'm also more awake. When I wake up in the morning, I've had time to rest, but when I read them at night, I've had a long and mind-straining day. This decreases my ability to concentrate and get anything out of what I'm reading. I often end up, at night, falling asleep or rereading a page over and over again for twenty minutes straight.
Finally, when I don't procrastinate what I need to do, I don't need to worry about it for the rest of the day. I am able to have a more enjoyable and happy day when I begin my day with my scripture-reading. I can concentrate better, stay awake, and guarantee my accomplishing of my scripture-reading when I do it first thing in the mornings. I appologize if I've been rambling on, because it's 11:55 on New Years' Eve. However, I do know what I'm talking about and really do mean what I've said. I really have been analyzing, even if I repeated anything. There were four specific reasons that I do better when I get my scripture-reading done in the morning. Maybe I should do my blogs in the mornings too. Oh well. HAPPY NEW YEAR! Oh I need to publish this, it's 11:59. Bye!
